- Leave the M20 at Junction 9 (Ashford)
- Take the A28 towards Canterbury
- Continue on the A28 for approx. 8 miles through Godmersham
- The Old Alma is on your right as you enter Chilham
From Canterbury
- Head south-west on the A28 (towards Ashford)
- Continue for approx. 6 miles
- Pass through Chartham
- The Old Alma is on your left just before Chilham village centre
From the M2 / London direction
- Leave the M2 at Junction 7 (Boughton Street)
- Follow signs to the A28 towards Ashford
- Head south on the A28 through Chartham
- The Old Alma is on your left approaching Chilham
By Train
Chilham Station — less than 1 mile walkChilham has its own station on the Ashford–Canterbury line, making it easy to reach without a car.
From Chilham Station to The Old Alma: Turn right out of the station, walk along Station Road to the A28. Turn left — The Old Alma is about 200 metres on your right. Total walk: 10–12 minutes.

The Old Alma is unfortunately not accessible for wheelchair users or guests with significant mobility difficulties. The property has steps at the entrance and all rooms are on upper floors accessible by stairs only — there is no lift or ramped access.
